What does SOMA stand for?
SOMA is more than a clothing brand. Behind SOMA is the idea of making mental health more visible and promoting a conscious approach to it.
The brand was founded with a personal connection to the topic. As a psychologist, it is important to me that mental health receives more attention in society – without stigmatization, without exaggeration, but in a calm and accessible way.
Our Approach
SOMA combines minimalist design with a clear stance. The products are deliberately simple – without loud statements, without unnecessary distractions. Instead, they are intended to send a quiet signal and remind us that mental health is an important part of our daily lives.
Clothing is often worn casually. With SOMA, it should also acquire meaning – not obtrusively, but consciously.
Our Contribution
A central component of SOMA is the support of organizations in the field of mental health.
We donate 10% of the profit from each product sold to relevant organizations. With this, we not only want to create awareness but also make a concrete contribution.
Transparency is important to us. The donations should be traceable and long-term.
Production & Responsibility
The products are manufactured using print-on-demand. This means that they are only produced when an order is received. This avoids overproduction and uses resources more consciously.
Production mainly takes place within Europe. Cotton-polyester blends are used depending on the product, with the exact composition varying depending on the color.
Our Goal
In the long term, SOMA aims to be a brand that:
– contributes to a more conscious approach to mental health
– reduces societal barriers in dealing with the issue
– and sustainably supports organizations in this field
SOMA stands for conscious decisions – in thought, in action, and in what you wear.
